Most Changes to Your Home will Require Building Committee Approval

New construction as well as additions or modifications to the exterior of an owners home in Forest Trails must be approved by the Forest Trails Building Committee. This applies also to trees in the conservancy areas designated in the Covenants. West Chicago Resolution 02-R-0019 establishes that the City will not issue approved construction permits to residents of a subdivision that has adopted covenants until the respective Homeowners Association has issued its approval. The Forest Trails Homeowners Association maintains communications with West Chicago's Community Development Department to cooperatively approve a resident's request for additions and modifications to their property.
